Scene one, take one

An important thing happened today. I pressed F5 and made the following screenshot of the first completed scene for the new game.

Beautiful, isn't it? A peaceful, quiet street with birds chirping in the trees, all waiting to be completely destroyed.

There are two important things about this scene.

First, everything in it has been created using the standard tool pipeline (Photoshop, Sprite editor, Building editor, Scene editor).

Second, the game code renders everything in the scene by the appropriate game classes. No fakes, no hand editing of XML files, no temporary fixes to make it look better just for the screenshot. It's all pristine.

For example, the windows "know" that they are made of glass and can thus break on impact. Actually, they already do that, but let's save that for the next time.

Now I'm going to start churning out more scenes like this one and design the... well, the other half of the game's graphics.
